Naracoorte News
We were planning to have a stopover in Naracoorte for one day. We were going to go to the caves. When we visited the Information Centre, we found out that we could go adventure caving. After booking it in we went for a walk through the park. Bethany went ahead and found several wallabies, until the rest of the troop caught up and scared them off.
The next day Dad, Josh, Joel, and Bethany went adventure caving. We went through a big cave and managed to struggle through a few tight challenges. It was fun. There were two other ladies who made up our group. We forgot our camera, and so had no pictures. The last two challenges were the hardest, but not too challenging. When we got back from caving, we all jumped in the car. As we went to start the car, nothing happened. We had been having several problems with the car starting reliably, but this time it wouldn't start at all. Dad called the NRMA and got the car towed. We were stuck in Naracoorte for a week while they found the actual problem. Luckily we were able to get a hire car through our NRMA insurance. When they found that the starter motor was faulty (a basically brand new one). They replaced it and then all the troubles were over. The car then went fine and we have had no glitches with it starting.
As a special treat for the older kids while we waited for our car to be fixed, they went horse riding. It was a trail ride through lovely bushland. The girls enjoyed it as there was a little pet sheep. They did get a little freaked, however, when the horse that the instructor was riding spooked and tried to pull back. The kid's horses were nice and they loved it. It was an hour and a half trail ride.
